What is it?

Chlamydia is an STI caused by bacteria. Some people experience an abnormal vaginal discharge or a burning sensation when peeing, but often there are no symptoms. Left untreated it can cause long term complications including infertility.

How does someone get it?

You can get chlamydia by having vaginal, oral, or anal sex with someone who has chlamydia. Barriers, such as condoms and dental dams, can prevent chlamydia transmission.

How can it be cured?

Chlamydia can be cured with antibiotics.
